Peer2Peer® Networking Groups: Make Powerful Connections

No information network is as powerful as one made up of your peers. Having an “extended advisory board” to listen and share with is invaluable. The Advisement Center believes in the power of peer networks, and we can place you in the one that’s just right for you.

Peer2Peer Group Facilitation:

Advantages:
  • Organization, structure, follow-up, administration. Peer groups often falter or fail when they are “self-facilitated”. Printing company owners have a lot on their plates, and when they try to operate a group themselves, business realities often dictate the attention that goes toward the peer group. Getting a group of CEO’s to respond to a survey or register for an event is difficult enough. Expecting one of the group to be the “shepherd” or group director is asking too much…and makes it very difficult for that same group member to participate equally. Hotel and meeting arrangements require expertise and attention to detail. Handling dues and expense billing is cumbersome and time-consuming – and can cause friction if it turns into a collection issue.
  • Bringing exponential power to the peer group. The “peers” don’t have to be only the CEOs or owners. In fact, the real power of a peer group is found in bringing together the operations managers, the IT folks, the CFO’s and the sales executives. What about HR, fulfillment or mailing managers – or the cross-media experts and marketing professionals? By providing robust and 100% up-to-date messaging tools and launching “next tier management” meeting opportunities, we multiply the power of peer collaboration.
  • Gathering peer group performance metrics and survey results. Peer groups typically share key performance metrics with each other. This practice provides context for discussions between members and brings a confidential transparency to membership in a group that seeks to help each other grow and prosper. It is important to facilitate construction of any metrics the group wishes to share and to monitor the regular gathering and sharing of the information that is often handled by a CFO within the group. Another benefit of peer group membership is the ability to conduct quick surveys as to how other members have addressed issues, HR questions and best practices.
  • Expert facilitation. We have decades of experience in the industry - from the ground up. We have not only built and operated nationally-recognized businesses, but we have seen the business from every stage: small, family-owned shop, mid-sized commercial plant, multi-faceted marketing services organization and multi-plant national manufacturer. We have developed renowned educational and organizational development programs currently in use throughout the industry. We bring this expertise in constructing and facilitating each group within our network.
